Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, on Monday honoured the winners of the first edition of the Emirates Award for Human Resources in the Federal Government.

The award was launched by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources last year, in line with the UAE’s wise leadership to give priority to human capital and development of human recourses.

Shaikh Mansour said the award reflects the great attention given by the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Shaikh Mansour said: “The UAE has paid great importance to human capital since its establishment, stemming out of its belief in the human capital as the cornerstone of sustainable human development, and a key fundamental for the success and superiority of the UAE in the global competitiveness race.”

Shaikh Mansour honoured the winners, including government bodies, organisations, ministries and individuals, and congratulated them on their success.

The winners include Ministry of Labour, the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority, Ministry of Finance, the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, Ministry of Environment and Water, Zakat Fund, and the Ministry of Economy.
